Salka Hellbacka

Salka Hellbacka (b. 1989, Umeå) uses formats such as sculpture, installation and video in exploring relationships between bodies within space and space within bodies. Hellbacka graduated from Bergen Art Academy 2019 and have exhibited at galleries and venues such as PAB-Open Bergen; Celsius Projects, Malmö; Konstnärshuset, Stockholm; Galleri 54, Göteborg; and Äcklet, Alta Art Space, Malmö.

Hanna Una Holmquist

Una works mainly with animation, wood and clay as mediums. The material and the practice of the hand have become increasingly important and the stories are emerging at the same time as their hands shape the material.

Their art moves between the private, existential and social; how bodies and nature change, adapt or resist. Recently, their art has also begun to deal with a form of poetic tenderness for what remains, a will to hold on, stick to and embrace. The tenderness for wood as a living and strong material, which has been used by humans throughout time, is connected to the humans will to shape themself and their surroundings.

Hanna Una Holmquist (Lund, Sweden 1986) has a MA from the Art Academy in Umeå. Selection of places were their art and films have been shown: Tricky Women (Vienna), Moderna museet (Malmö), Vejle Kunstmuseum, Digitaliseum (Malmö), Galleri CC (Malmö), Celsius projects (Malmö), Galleri Verkligheten (Umeå), Centrum för fotografi (Sthlm), Konstbunkern (Örebro), Pixel filmfestival (Ystad), Bio Valand (Göteborg).

Anna Hillbom

In elementary and playful shapes, Anna Hillbom aim to bring out a sense of fragility and magnitude. Elements from a classical canon and everyday objects are canalized to soften and re-interpret hegemonic expression, enable a sensuous relation to monumentality, sprung from a personal logic, tactile and poetic thinking. Archaic gestures, archeological founds and everyday objects, are processed into vaguely familiar shapes. Brass, plaster, ceramic and bees wax is handled in order to bring out intrinsic qualities of the material, and a possible mystic.

Anna Hillbom (Gällivare, Sweden 1983) has studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie Amsterdam and Umeå Konsthögskola. She has in recent years exhibited her sculptures and sound work around Europe and Scandinavia, in venues like Punt WG Amsterdam, Galleri CC Malmö, Lewisham Arthouse London, Galleri 21 Malmö, Schimmel Art Center Dresden, Italienska Palatset Växjö, Umeå Konsthall, Celsius Project Malmö, Norrbyskärs Konsthall, C4 Projects Copenhagen, Härke Konstcentrum and Turun Taidehalli/Åbo Konsthall.

Anna lives and works in Malmö.

Mari Kretz

Mari Kretz's work can be described as a multi-layered artistic practice. Her works include sound, drawing, collage, assemblage, moving image, installations that aim to further explore the narrative functions of each medium. Kretz's work with sound is central to her art. In particular, the exploration of the sound worlds we cannot perceive with our hearing. These poetic sound worlds are made audible and a world full of life and magical sounds opens. They are visualized in installations or as electroacoustic pieces for concerts.

Mari Kretz latest works have been performed and shown at, among others, Elektronisk Musikvår 2023, MDT, SWE (2023), Vårsalongen, Liljevalchs konsthall, SWE (2023),  Audiorama, Stockholm, SWE (2023), Fylkingen, SWE (2022), PULS Consert #2, Audiorama, Stockholm, SWE  & Electric Audio Unit, NO (2021), Benhuset, Katarina Church in Stockholm, SWE (2021), Holmöns boat museum, Holmön, SWE (2021), Digitaliseum, Malmö, SWE (2021), Vienna Acousmonium, Vienna, AUT (2019) and BEASTdome, Birmingham, GBR (2019).

Elin Båve

Elin Båve (1986 Ornäs, Sweden) works with performance, installation, drawing and text. With an interest in the artistic process in and of itself, her work is context sensitive and pays attention to material and traces of action. She is interested in the ephemeral and tactile investigations of poetry and cycles of materials. Is it possible to contain layers of a situation in a surface?

Båve is currently working with a series of blue ballpoint pen drawings. It’s a work sprung from her piece ”nine traces of retention”, a group of sculptured hollow containers installed in a specific glade in the forest of Stångstjärn, Dalarna.

Båve graduated with an MFA at Umeå Academy of Fine Arts and since then she has taken part in several exhibitions including Kungliga Konstakademien, Umeå Konsthall, Galleri Svarta Gran, Galleri CC Malmö, Bildmuseet, Konsthall C and Gallery Steinsland Berliner.
